Answer these questions. (All questions must be answered accurately and completely). Remember many of the other Admins will only have the information available here to make their decision. Consider this your Admin resume.

  1. Steam ID or Profile Link: Steam Community :: MichaelPatriot21

  2. Age: 26

  3. Hours played on NAK servers.: 219

  4. Total Arma 3 hours: 2,415

  5. What Is Your Current ArmA 3 Level of Experience: Advanced

  6. Recommendation from existing Admin (if applicable): N/A

  7. Reason for applying: (If your answer to this is anything like “to get rid of trolls” please reconsider your application) I want to contribute more to the community and help the server to grow, I’ve become a much better Arma 3 player from these servers and I’ve made great friends here. My hours on this server are some of the best I’ve had, not to be over-dramatic, lol. I just want to make sure others have the same experience I’ve had. I see admins on this server as the inspiration of what every Arma player should strive to be because they set an amazing example. I want to be that example.

  8. List any real-world experience or skills that you feel would contribute to the NAK community: I’ve spent my whole life on computers, so not a lot of real world experience, I’ve done help desk for a few websites and I’m decently technically minded.

  9. Estimated Activity (How active will you be as an Admin.): Every night from around 9 pm to 6 am est usually earlier and later. I will be active most days.

  10. Briefly list what you believe is involved in being an Admin on NAK servers: Answering questions from both new and old players, troubleshooting issues, taking care the servers both when you’re on them and behind-the-scenes, helping new players get integrated into the unit.

  11. Provide any other information that might help us decide why you should be an Admin: I’m really passionate about the community and I’m patient and love to learn. I feel I could be an asset and an example.

+1 He is really committed to helping the community and increase in activity

-1. I am missing some admin qualities that are essential.

What qualities? If you don’t me asking.

Not at all. To recap the TS conversation: It would be conflict resolution. Based on confrontations between you and other players that were handled extremely poorly. Players were doing stuff you didn’t like, and instead of talking to them, contacting an admin, or even removing yourself from that situation, you simply stayed in that situation and then broke down afterwards. As an admin you are going to be confronted with this behaviour alot and you will have be able to deal with it appropriately.

I hope this -1 doesn’t discourage you.

I disagree with your assessment, but I thank you for taking the time to speak to me over TS. I did get upset one time, but I hope that doesn’t discount all the hard work, time, and dedication I’ve put into this unit. We all have bad days, sometimes.

I’ll be doing some search because I can’t remember who you are but I probley wouldn’t have made your last comment as you are trying to get the admins approval. For example I would have said more along the lines of thank for your input wave and i’ll work on it. This is neither a +1 or -1 from me.

After looking at your activity on our servers i’m going to give you a -1 as you have broken a rule more then once. The rule you broke is #2 and was only a day before and after you applied to be an admin

Where did I break rule #2?

As i said the day before and the day after. You where forcing players to land and telling them to join the Teamspeak. This is not how you approach a player as a player. To me if i was new i would have thought that you where an admin as you told them to land. As a player you need to encourage players to join the teamspeak.

From rule #2:

“Impersonating on admin involves but is not limited to: Telling people you are a server admin, threatening to ban or enforce rules (including retaliation), copying an admin name, or making fake NAK Command tags.”

I never forced players to land, I told them all pilots must in TS and they should probably ground their planes until they join the TS. I’ve never told anyone I’m an admin, I’ve never threatened to kick or ban anyone, didn’t copy an admin’s name, nor made fake admin tags. I’m far from the only player that does this and multiple admins have been on when I’ve done this, including Vile, and not one has said anything to me about it.

Still not convinced he would make a good admin for several reasons. I believe time will fix this (like more than 4 days between admin application posts).

I’d like to withdraw my application, thank you all for your time in reviewing it.
