Ristyenok [The teamspeak name I go by is tedder by default but I change it to Ristyenok when I am able. An issue that I managed to fix the other day.]

I was banned from the teamspeak, not the server.
I am not trying to justify my disrespect.I will explain the context but I take full responsibility for speaking disrespectfully and I apologies to vgerdj.

The situation
There was a situation where a vehicle was stuck inside or on the aircraft carrier in the malden server.

Several people wanted to blow it up because there was no proper way to fix it.

A few admins where telling people to not do. One was vgerdj

vgerdj came in raising his voice for it not to be done and in general came off as being very rude to me.
a few players made some comments but nothing too bad but regardless there was an argument between the people that wanted to blow it up and the people that did not.

Though vgerdj and the admins where right in that blowing up the vehicle was not a good idea I feel that vgerdj was doing so in a less than professional manner.

It particularly annoyed me the way vgerdj’s tone was to the other players.

So I called him an asshole over voice.

I was kicked soonly after. So I assumed that was my warning. All was good. I just wanted to keep flying transport.

I returned and I was shortly banned for three days for as the screenshot shows. “calling me an asshole”

So I re-checked the rules to see if this was justified and saw I was punished twice for one instance of disrespect.

As I have said before, I am not claiming that I was right to call him an asshole. I apologies for that, but I feel that being banned for three days outright was unfair.

At first I was just going to wait it out as it was no big deal but one of my favorite things to do in arma 3 is invade and annex and ontop of that is running transport.

There is one witness that I managed to get a hold of who is on my side. You can speak to him directly if you wish. There where many other in the chat at the time but I was not paying attention to names at the moment.

*All bans lifts are on a case by case basis.
*The banning admin and head admins have the final say on whether or not a ban should or shouldn’t be lifted.
*Other admins, and players, can be used as witnesses to make statements for or against the ban removal.
*Any bans regarding hacking, cheating, and or code manipulation/ game engine manipulation will not be lifted. We check logs daily and do offline bans as well.
*Vulgar or otherwise derogatory racist/sexist/xenophobic remarks will not be lifted ever, this indicates the attitude of the player, ability to work as a team, and potential toxicity.
*Lying about mass tking, or otherwise stories that do not match will not be lifted ever, this indicates the integrity of the player, and the trust among other player

PVT Warwick was brought to a separate TS channel and told at least 10 times NOT to blow up the aircraft. BY 2 admins. He was annoying beyond belief. You were banned for 3 days because you called me an asshole, after the situation was resolved, further escalating the tension. It’s my discretion if such action warrants the discipline. YOU DO NOT GET TO DICTATE WHAT HAPPENS ON NAK SERVERS. You are a guest. You vilify me in that scenario to make yourself look better, and vilifying me has nothing whatsoever to do with what YOU did. You got banned because you just had to open your mouth and insult an admin that was doing their job. I’ve been doing this 8 months now on NAK, and get criticism both positive and negative. A few people were quite surprised that you ONLY got 3 days. They also said you were not well liked either and were glad you were banned. Also, I could not find Tedder on the server, could it be that you didn’t have the same names in game and TS? You were banned for rule 2 3 8.

I did not vilify you in any way. I was telling the story from my perspective.

I dont have a comment about what opinions other people have on me. This is not about that. I’m not trying to attack you personally or your ability to do your job. But I feel your action against me was unfair which is why im making this request.

No, I was not banned for rule 2 3 and 8.

I was banned for 2. Its in the log. If there was more too it then you should have tacked it on to prevent any confusion like this here.

According to the rules and punishments for breaking said rules, I should have remained kicked.
Whatever I was doing before or after is a different matter.
This is about you banning me for rule 3 which im just trying to get unbanned so I can run transport.

As for rule 8 you say I was breaking. I was given no warning, as the rules say I should have been given. It was an issue that when I joined the nak team speak It gives me the Tedder nickname. Every time I join I change to ristyenok. An issue that I have not fixed up untill recently due to me overlooking a setting tucked away in TS’ UI. If I was given a verbal warning for this, you’ed have known it was just a issue on my end. Not me trying to be malicious.

Now onto 2. Again, I was given no warning. I understand it is commonly against the rules. It just happens. Some people have a foul mouth from time to time. Some people like that sort of humor some dont. If I was given a verbal warning Im sure I’d not have said any more. But I was not warned or even told to stop by anyone at all.]

You were banned for rule 2 3 8. This page does not cover all the rules; only the basic ones. If an Admin finds an unfitting behavior he will moderate it accordingly.

Its like you did not bother to read or consider anything of what I said. I just want to play on the server as my favorite role. Its my first punishment ever on the server in the time I’v been on. I’v apologized whilst explaining my case and my complaint.

Surely, you do need a thesaurus, vilify: synonyms: disparage, denigrate, defame, run down, revile, abuse, speak ill of, criticize, condemn, denounce;

If you came in here and just apologized, that would have ended it, ban lifted, but you needed to stick the knife in, and turn
you just couldn’t keep you comments to yourself, just like when you called me an asshole. Your continuous disparaging remarks seem to indicate no reason to lift the ban

But you where raising your voice. Many times. A few people commented on it and yes, from my perspective it was annoying. That is why I said what I did. I was explaining the situation that lead to me saying what I did so the people who review this know the context. Which is very important for unban requests.

Im not upset with being punished for calling you an asshole and I apologized. But this report is more about how I feel you where being unfair with it.

Also now you’re being disrespectful to me. That remark directly is trying to talk down on my intelligence.

Bottom line is you were banned for violating three TeamSpeak rules. Rules 2, 3 and 8. When a player violates more than one rule we take the worst of the second tier offenses. In your case the worst second level offense is for rule #2 which is a 3 day ban. You could argue that if you only said a single curse word directed towards another person then you should only be banned for rules 2 and 8, which would still be 3 days.

You were kicked from the server so that the admin had time to go and look up the appropriate punishments, prior to the ban. The process from kick to ban took less than 45 seconds which is more than reasonable.

As I was not there and you admitted to breaking at least rules 2 and 8, the punishment is just, and follows the guidelines set out for admins to follow. The ban will stand.

This issue is now closed.
