What Is Your Current ArmA 3 Level of Experience:
I Have played for years and am familiar with all roles, though I typically play as a transport pilot so that is definitely my comfort zone. I have recently started using zeus and doing some learning on that as I definitely have a lot of interest in being able to game master zeus events. -
Recommendation from existing Admin (if applicable):
I do not have a recommendation but Jayvect seems to be the most common admin that’s around when I’m on the server. -
Reason for applying: (If your answer to this is anything like “to get rid of trolls” please reconsider your application)
Over the past weeks since beginning to play on the server again I have noticed that many of my play times ( US overnight and sat-tue days) are uncovered by an admin at times. I have also noticed that there has been a pretty solid up tick in server volume over the past few weeks and would like to contribute to many of the new players joining Arma to enjoy the NAK server as their home. Because I spend a lot of time with access to my computer while working i would be able to assist with many clerical duties ( ts permissions, addressing griefing, teamkilling, etc) regularly and would be able to participate in running events and actively playing on the server on my days off. -
List any real-world experience or skills that you feel would contribute to the NAK community:
I am a paramedic, Much of my job revolves around being able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and defuse high tension situations. I also have a home server hosted at my house and am familar with VPNs, Remote management, setup and installation of server equipment. I also have a symmetrical Gigabit connection if uploading things like updates is ever an issue. -
Estimated Activity (How active will you be as an Admin.):
Ill likely play every other weekend and Monday and Tuesday but I am available intermittently throughout the day. and my laptop has RDP access to my home server and my desktop so if there was a notification system in place I would be able to address issues on the days that I’m not actively playing.
- Briefly list what you believe is involved in being an Admin on NAK servers:
Assisting other plays in finding a way to enjoy their game, whether that be assisting with issues or taking the time to teach a new player about the game. Being an admin is about applying yourself to positively influence the community and create a better playing environment for everyone. Much like the role of transport pilots, its not the most glamourous job and its not always going to be the most fun thing you have ever done. But, you will have the opportunity to help other and ultimately create a better environment for your own gameplay.
- Provide any other information that might help us decide why you should be an Admin:
If i’m busy doing admin things I cant crash as many helicopters.
