SCREENSHOT OF THE BAN MESSAGE OR THE TEXT OF THE MESSAGE DISPLAYED UPON ENTERING THE SERVER:
NAME OF THE ADMIN: lastxbreath
APPROXIMATE DATE AND TIME OF THE BAN: 3/15/2022
THE SERVER YOU WERE ON WHEN YOU WERE BANNED: [NAK]NAKSQUAD.NET | NAK#1 | I&A | Altis Address: 108.61.9.162:2302
ANY EXPLANATION OR JUSTIFICATION FOR WHY THE BAN SHOULD BE LIFTED: RULE #6) NO WASTING SERVER ASSETS.(GAME SERVERS ONLY)
Some guy with a hemmt cut me off near the bobcat at the base , I let him pass me , (he was going towards the right , so no possible destination , probably only to cut me off , he was going in the direction of the other bobcat near the fixed wing spawn) so I let him pass me and when I go forward I exploded (didn’t realise the hemmt exploded aswell he was like 4-5 meters away from me , and I respawned and got banned under the rule #3 of intentional teamkilling , wich is not the case , sience both of us exploded , and it was definetly not intentional ,and probably would have not done it because it is very time consuming to get another vehicle and clear the inventory 1 item by 1 item and get new items for the vehicle such as rockets fill it up ,etc. Why would I do that? I had no reason to Intentionally team kill. I also got alot of intentional teamkilling on me as such my tank got rocket launched by people and bombed a few times by some jet fighters killing 2-3 of us and we never said anything ,puting the reasoning of the action in practice ,such as maybe they are noobs at the game , they don’t know how to play etc.
Per the ban appeal stated above, I will state what was witnessed from my perspective to clear up what seems to be a bit of confusion or misconception regarding the placement of the ban.
In regards to the events that occurred, it was witnessed that the player in question was located next to the Bobcat in the Rewards area of the Airfield. It was noticed that the HEMMT in the Airfield was also located by the same Bobcat. As such, the HEMMT was being moved back to its spawn location in the area by Fixed Wing. When the HEMMT was being moved, it was witnessed that the player appealing this ban drove into the side of the HEMMT on two separate occasions, the second of which resulted in both vehicles being destroyed, which also resulted in the death of both players. I then approached close in-game as well as in the side channel questioning his actions to determine if the issues were possibly connection related or a result of a bug with Arma, which as we know is fairly common with sudden vehicle destruction. The player’s responses were as follows:
In-game text: 5:30 PM (Side) close: srry i accidentaly released the nuclear bomb
In-game voice: Player played music over his mic with no other response.
Man you are good at making things look your own way . I never hit that vehicle , maybe on your screen in wich resulted the crash ,it is fairly known that players with desync have had this problems since the release of Arma 3. Also stated I ran into the car 2 times , wich is not true , the first one “hit” (I didn’t hit it) resulted the explosion , the “srry i accidentaly released the nuclear bomb” was supposed to be a joke to ease things out and laugh a little of the arma logic, as such it is clear that I would not do that intentionally why would I do that?“accidentaly” should I highlight that part for you? in regard of the situation of music played over the mic , I have stated that the microphone was not plugged in the duration of me being active on that server that day ,and I was listenting to music wich commonly happens to me to take that as the microphone , as having an USB controlled headset(tehnology huh) . It wasn’t offensive music as such I was listening to it , but you failed to point that out and took it as something in your defense. So what’s the result? of an admin (I think you’re an admin anyhow)that lacks common sense and wants to put his power everywhere resulting in making the server hell to play in putting big words as such " Intentional" when the player definetly apologised marked by the word “srry” wich is an abreviation of the word “sorry” wich is an act of showing regret of the person saying it. Also used the word “Accidentaly” wich means well accident , wich is Intentional for you , but for the rest of the word is an act that is non-intentional , damn you even showed the chat , how was that supposed to help you? I want my ban fixed now ,I wasted enough of my time on this for nothing because of the action of a frustrated individual who likes to put his power where there shouldn’t be. I have played alot on this server with my buddies and we never had any conflict as such demonstrated by this person , I ,mostly put alot of time in the server in the week I have played , but that will change if you treat your admins like he has a free pas for anything. Just ban the whole server will you?
Lastxbreath5 was merely explaining his and possibly other witnesses’ observations of the alleged rule infraction resulting in the one-day ban. It is possible that there was a de-sync of sorts, which is when he took steps to clarify the actions that took place. You were not immediately banned, but your actions were in question. It is the job of admins to take information they have before them and enforce the rules of the server. His attempt to obtain additional information, returned a joking response from you, with no apparent justification, leading him to believe even more on the side of that the action taken was intentional.
Playing music is prohibited by server rules (RULE #7) NO USING VOICE IN RESTRICTED CHANNELS, NO SPAMMING, NO BROADCASTING OF MUSIC & NO USE OF ANY VOICE MODULATORS OR VOICE CHANGERS.). Whether the action you had taken on this matter was intentional or not, really has no merit, regardless if the music being played was tasteful or not. Quite simply, it can’t be done. Consider this a written warning for that rule infraction.
As far as the terminology used and its perceived interpretation, often times sarcasm is difficult to differentiate from sincerity given the context it is used in.
I understand you are frustrated with the whole situation, but berating an admin for the actions he had taken, especially when he had calmly explained to you his side of it, is uncalled for.
I appreciate the fact that you have put in approximately 32 hours of game time on the NAK servers, and that you have had no notable prior infractions. This situation most likely involved misinterpretation and miscommunication, or lack thereof. It is often best if a player being confronted by an admin asking for clarification, be given straight forward information, not ignored, and not to include additional rule infractions. I hope you can continue enjoying the servers NAK provides while understanding the purpose and expectations of and by the admins here.
