How do I become a pilot?

I want to fly the vehicles but it says I need to be a vortex pilot.

Just join the pilots channel of the server you are on i.e.Altis Pilots#1 (No speaker mute allowed) . You select the vortex pilots slot in the Arma server lobby (not TS lobby)
