As a member of this community for the past three years, I have enjoyed the experience I have had with fellow community members and staff. I have strived to assist new members of the community in any way possible including mod support, gameplay instruction, and advising of staff in the event of a player negatively impacting the experience of other players. As of recently, I’ve noticed a general decrease in the availability of both players and staff during low population times for the server and wish to make any improvements I can to help satisfy the needs of this community to remain an enjoyable experience for all types of players, regardless of time. I wish to apply my experience and expertise to the server to improve the experience of both new and old players on this server. - List any real-world experience or skills that you feel would contribute to the NAK community:
In terms of real-world experience, I have been an EMT for 4 years and therefore have experience working in teams in stressful situations that, quite literally, hold a person’s life in the balance. More recently, I have been a 911 dispatcher at my local police department and have been working closely with officers. This includes the investigation and resolution of cases. In regards to other possibly relevant experience, I have been staff on other communities, largely focusing on Garry’s Mod and Rust. The popular community known as Icefuse Networks was my home for just over two years. After significant amounts of work, time, and improvement, I managed to reach ranks equivalent to co-owner. In Icefuse Networks specifically, I reached the rank of Director, which worked directly with the network owner. Things such as server maintenance, staff monitoring and administration of the staff itself as well as players, and business planning were included in my tasks. I have a significant amount of experience in all of these and wish to apply that experience here. - Estimated Activity (How active will you be as an Admin.): TeamSpeak, Forums, Email, and other communication platform availability will near 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Available in-game time may fluctuate with my work schedule as a dispatcher or worked around my schedule for Nursing School, however it will likely be more than 20 hours per week at a minimum.
- Briefly list what you believe is involved in being an Admin on NAK servers:
Integrity: The ability for an administrator to remain as an example to players. The ability to be honest, impartial, and morally straight.
Responsibility: Being able to recognize what is expected of a staff member, not limited to tasks assigned. Understanding that any and all interactions with other players and staff reflect not only my own character, but the implied character of staff.
Reliability: Remaining available within reason to assist in the tasks required by staff as well as being able to complete said tasks. Showing that, as a staff member, I am capable of completing the tasks assigned to me without issue.
Respectfulness: The ability to remain respectful to not only other staff members, but players as well. Regardless of how a player or other staff member speaks to a staff member, there is a level of respect that must be given and shown by staff members, simply to remain professional and uphold the standards of staff.
Patience: Not every situation can or will be solved the moment it becomes apparent to staff. Remaining patient with players and other staff members to ensure a situation is resolved appropriately and according to rules and guidelines is imperative. Patience is a virtue. - Provide any other information that might help us decide why you should be an Admin:
As previously mentioned, I have been a member of this community for the past three years. It should be mentioned that several years ago I did receive a ban due to my actions on one of the servers. My actions were childish and I have since learned form my mistakes and resolved the moral issues I faced at that time. I have since never had any negative interactions with staff. No warnings, punishments of any kind, or disagreements. I have advocated the rules of the server and worked to assist other players in enjoying their experience on all available servers of NAK while remaining steadfast to the rules and guidelines. I hold this server and its staff in high regard, especially with respect to how it treats military personnel. I am part of a very military based family. My father, brother, step brother, uncle, cousin, and grandfather have all either served or are currently serving in the US Military. I appreciate the level of respect that this community gives to armed forces personnel, both past and present. Thank you for taking the time to consider my application.
