  5. Immediatly after joining game and teamspeak, said “yoo” in teamspeak. My team speak window was up in game so when i minimized it i was disconnected. Reconnected and then said “where the fat bitches at?” then tried to minimize my teamspeak window and was disconnected. The disconnect and reconnect happened twice more then was banned from both teamspeak and rever (perminantly) Didnt even get to accept the initial disclaimer message.

Further more; after speaking with admin it was said that i was in violation of rule number 4 and 11 which are both warnings per the rules listed on the website; however, i am perminantly banned.
Rule #4 is classisifed as intentionaly annoying and bothering others. The “where the fat bitches” at may have been annoying in an opinionated counter arguement towards me. i accept responsibility.

I was not intentionaly hopping channels in teamspeak which is in violation of rule 11 "spamming which is due a warning on first offense. speaking with the admin of the server in a misconduct thread it was said that it is not his job to correct the situation; however, weather a warning was given or not i could not receive it because i was trouble shooting, there are a number of ways to communicate with me before a perm bann on the spot.

I rarely talk on teamspeak unless mission dictates, but last night i was extra motivated to play Arma. I am NAK Ellite pilot, acceptional flyer and never crash unless im shot down by unexpecting sheikra. I am fired up by this whole situation. I feel its an abuse of power towards players; especially those who have given money out their pockets, i do not want to be up here writing essays but instead playing Arma… not looking foward to finding new organization. In the real Army communication is the single/ number one failure in most missions and i recall my admin misconduct for that communication barrier but ask that admins show empithy when clicking the ban button.

Please note:
*All bans are reviewed on a case by case basis.
*The banning admin and head admins have the final say on whether or not a ban should or shouldn’t be modified.
*Admins and players, can be used as witnesses to make statements for or against the ban modification.
*Any bans regarding hacking, cheating, and or code manipulation/ game engine manipulation will not be lifted. We check logs daily and do offline bans as well.
*Racist, sexist and xenophobic remarks will not be lifted, this indicates the attitude of the player, ability to work as a team, and potential toxicity.
*Lying in your appeal, is cause alone for a ban not to be lifted and may be cause for a ban to be extended, this indicates the integrity of the player, and the trust among other players.

SGT Martinez, I know my reply is long but please take a moment and read it in its entirety

Which ever admin you were speaking to was referencing the game server rules which would not apply to you, as the event happened entirely on the TS server, you were only in violation of rules there. As I stated in the misconduct report you were in violation of RULE #3) No indecent; obscene; lewd; Fla language and RULE #11) No spamming (Excessive messages, unwanted pokes and channel hopping are all examples of TS spamming) and Rule #5 No pornographic or explicit content. (Applies to but not limited to avatars & file transfers.)

As you were in violation of multiple rules you skip the first level of punishment, and because you did it twice you skip to the 3rd level which in your case the third lever for rule #3 is a permanent ban.

I feel its an abuse of power towards players; especially those who have given money out their pockets, i do not want to be up here writing essays but instead playing Arma… not looking foward to finding new organization.

We very much appreciate everyone that donates to the server it is the only way that we are able to keep the community going, but it does not give you, or any other donor, the right to break the server rules. Our rules are very clear and I would be violating our “Admin rules” if I did not enforce the rules related to your actions: From Admin code of conduct - Do not turn a blind eye to those who break the rules. Treat everyone equally. If an Admin breaks a rule please report it to VileAce or Claws. If a player breaks a rule enforce it.

In the real Army communication is the single/ number one failure in most missions…

We have listed the server rules on our website, when you connect to the game server, when you connect to TeamSpeak, and in many of the Information/Descriptions on the TeamSpeak channels. I believe that we have gone above and beyond to communicate our expectations and rules to the players.

Look at your situation from my point of view. A player comes into the channel says “Yo”. (loudly but not yelling) then leaves. I began looking for the player in the list of players, to issue the warning, then about 15 seconds later the same player comes into the channel and says "“where the fat bitches at?” then uses an indecent term for a part of female anatomy, and again leaves the channel. I did verify with other players in channel that I heard correctly the expletive for female genitalia, the only debate was on the word you preceded it with. This is not the behavior for someone wanting to be part of a community so I issued the ban as outlined in the TeamSpeak server rules.

With the explanations out of the way, here is my bottom line stance on your situation and recommendations.

First it is generally not good behavior to join a channel in TeamSpeak and say “yo” or "“where the fat bitches at?” or any other introduction over players that my be having a conversation in that channel. Join the channel wait for a break in the conversation and make your introduction. Hopfully better than "“where the fat bitches at?”.

Second, I am going to accept your explanation for “channel hopping”, and excuse it as connection issues with a little trepidation.

Last, you have not been on the server for a while. You need to be aware that things have changed over the last 6 months to a year. We are more strict on players that do things to dissuade a community environment. Thing like, cursing at other players, general griefing, and inappropriate language and topics are dealt with more harshly then they had been in the past. Just keep that in mind in the future.

I am not going to delete the ban, but I am going to reduce it to 1 day, Based on when the ban was entered the ban has expired. You will be able to join the server. It is sometime difficult to find all the parts of a TS ban, so if you are unable to connect to TS due to the ban, send a message in game that says “Admin - expired ban in TS preventing connection”

VileAve,

Really apppreciate you laying out -in detail my deficiencies so i know what not to repeat in the future. I see what this organization does; providing players with an imersive platform by fostering professionalism, and higher standards -similar to that in the military. Will enjoy playing in the near future.
