Answer these questions. (All questions must be answered accurately and completely). Remember many of the other Admins will only have the information available here to make their decision. Consider this your Admin resume.

1. Steam ID or Profile Link:

2. Age:
19 Years Old

3. Hours played on NAK servers.:

4. Total Arma 3 hours:
According to Steam: “270 hrs on record”

5. What Is Your Current ArmA 3 Level of Experience:
I feel as though I am an above average pilot and very experienced in the Arma Gaming Community. I enjoy flying Combat Air Patrol (CAP) and keeping the airspace clean. I have played over 100+ hours and have learned so much from NAK Squad Servers, and just playing with friends.

6. Recommendation from existing Admin (if applicable):

  1. Reason for applying: (If your answer to this is anything like “to get rid of trolls” please reconsider your application)
My reasoning to apply is because I have become to love the NAK community and I want to give back to the community. I feel as though this is my way giving back. I want to offer everything I have gotten and learned into the NAK community. I want NAK to be a safe environment and to have everyone have an amazing NAK experience as I have had. I also would like to assist in the background and help be the backbone of the NAK Community. I also want to help uphold the NAK Rules and Guidelines, and to carry my leadership capabilities into the NAK Command and to be a positive leader and supporter to the NAK community.

As well to be completely honest, I love NAK and the family based community and being able to just chat with people and to learn from others and being able to teach others as well. I have always loved NAK Squad and would like to advance in the community.

8. List any real-world experience or skills that you feel would contribute to the NAK community:
This here is a difficult question, I do not have IT experience nor technical experience, although I do have experiences in other fields. I have been in the Healthcare Workforce for about 2-3 years now. So I know I can comfortably handle difficult situations, people, Collogues and Co-Workers. I have learned to listen, and to assist people in whatever they need, and to do the best I can do to assist them. Especially in my workforce, I work in the Memory Care Unit at a Alzheimer Facility. I do have my High School Diploma, and I am going to College Majoring in Pre-Medicine/Medical Studies.

I feel as though I should mention, I recently attended the Oregon Army National Guard CHS School. At that school I was at a Military Base, with SDI, DI’s and Veterans 24/7 for 6 months. There I have learned the effectiveness of self-discipline, job skills, and so much more skills I have learned from that school.

My Cadre said it best:

"Since his arrival, Victor has been a positive role model for other cadets to emulate. He has learned and displayed many quality traits that are so important to a leader. He has held cadet leadership positions within a platoon of 30 cadets. He has led by example; he is reliable, dependable, honest, loyal, and displays impeccable integrity. He is a mature even-tempered person who uses common sense and thinks things through before acting. He is very good at multi-tasking and prioritizing his workload. He accomplished all tasks on time both in and out of the classroom, producing quality work with a lot of attention to detail.

Victor has only been at Youth Challenge for a short of time, but he has earned my respect for his ability to learn quickly, work with limited or no supervision, always being safety conscious and producing results.

In my opinion, Victor Ferrin is a solid young man and would be an asset to any school, team or organization. He gives 100 percent and is always ready to assist others when needed."

9. Estimated Activity (How active will you be as an Admin.):
My activity as an Administrator if selected, would be able to be online and actively interacting with the NAK Community would be around 20-25 Hours Weekly. I will have to work around College and Work. Other than that, on my free time I enjoy being in the NAK TeamSpeak and Servers, especially enjoying everyone’s company.

10. Briefly list what you believe is involved in being an Admin on NAK servers:
Personally, I feel as though an Administrator on NAK Servers should be or have:

  • Being Responsible

  • Life Coping Skills

  • Job Skills

  • Maturity

  • Knowledge

  • To oversee NAK Servers and Communication Server

  • To be a Leader & Follower

  • To assist and to support their superiors and other fellow Admins

  • Something I learned in Military School is to: Follow Orders, and question later in a responsible matter

11. Provide any other information that might help us decide why you should be an Admin:

I have been editing codes, mainly LUA for the ROBLOX Developer Community for some time now, and have now recently left that community and now transferring over to the GTA V Coding and Discord Development. I have been a leader in several gaming communities, such as Lead Administrator, Moderator, and Owner. Throughout my education life, I have held several leadership positions, such as ASB Vice President, 1ST PLT Cadet Platoon Leader, 3RD Squad Leader, and Manager at the Avamere Health Services. Thank You!!!

I feel this application has come too early, as you have only just returned after a long hiatus.
With more time consistently on the servers, I would probably vote yes, as you are a friendly, popular player, in which i see a lot of potential, good luck.

I think PATMOSS hit it on the head. Great player, great presence on the servers and in the community, and this application shows so much heart, but just been on a hiatus a bit longer than I’d think somebody should be if they want to become an admin. Would love to see this application again after a month or two of consistent involvement.

Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an admin application that has so intrinsically demonstrated the drive to become an admin and I’m sad that I have to give a -1 now for attendance because this is a +1.5 application.

able to be online and actively interacting with the NAK Community would be around 20-25 Hours Weekly. I will have to work around College and Work.

As an aside, Victor, I would encourage you to ensure that school and work come first, and to further ensure that you give yourself the time you need to stay mentally healthy. 20-25 hours per week is pretty ambitious as an admin, and some of the coursework you’re going to be doing is no joke. I’m sure it sounds like a cliché to you at this point that “college is a lot harder than high school,” but it’s it’s a cliché for a reason. 15 credit hours is going to really be bit the equivalent of a bit more than a full-time job before you even consider any sort of part-time work or co-curricular activities you could get into at school (especially if you’re going to do ROTC, as you’ve discussed in the Discord).

Not to go all dad on you, but how you do in college—especially in pre-med—sets the tone for the rest of your career trajectory and your first semester’s grades will have the same effect on your GPA as your last semester’s grades. I won’t say “I don’t think you should be taking on the responsibilities of an admin as a rising college freshman,” but I will say “I think you should be mentally prepared to dial back or give up the admin role if you find that your grades are slipping or you’re not feeling like you’ve got a handle on the rest of your life.” You’re a strong dude, there’s no question about that, but you’re about to walk into what is ultimately a very new life situation in a way that most people your age are only doing for the first time.

(As Somverillain reads this over my shoulder, he wanted to add that “My advice would be to promise more like 5-10 hours… ROTC cadets have a lot less ownership of their schedules.”)

1 I feel that, coming back for a week and applying for admin isn’t the best as their are always gonna be updates from when a player leaves. Another thing is, I wouldn’t classify flying experience for the whole of the server as it’s easy to build up hours. I would like to see you have other experience not mentioned.

Too players that wish to comment, we would like short comments on why you think players that do apply for being an admin should or shouldn’t become one

I’m sorry if I doesn’t make sense as I’m doing this on my phone at work.

After Further Consideration, and positive feedback. I am withdrawing my Admin Application. I do plan in the future to apply again once I am available to balance my workload. I sincerely thank everyone who has commented. I’d also like to let the staff and the community to know. If there is anything that needs to be done, or need anything or any sort. Don’t hesitate to ask, I encourage you to ask me if you need anything. I am more than willing to assist anyone.

Once again, I thank you all for the feedback, and sitting back and reading these comments and messages sent to me. I can honestly say, I am doing the right thing, and this isn’t for me at this very moment.

Thank You!

Great attitude to have :+1:
